Hadley & Daniel | California Meets Indiana
Evansville Wedding Planner
I still have so many feels from Hadley & Daniel's wedding! The day could not have been more perfect. The sweetest bride & groom, great family & friends, an amazing venue, and gorgeous weather! Normally, Southern Indiana weather is sunny and super humid this time of year, but it couldn't have been prettier or cooler for their outdoor ceremony and reception at the Corner House B&B and Event Barns for a night of dinner, drinks, and dancing under the stars.
Her gorgeous high-low dress from BHLDN (Anthropologie's wedding line) was accessorized with a bejeweled belt and her grandmother's wedding shoes from 1955. Her hair was styled in a fishtail side braid, and her makeup enhanced her beautiful features, especially her eyes. Hadley spent the morning getting ready with her mom, Dennie, her mother-in-law, Pam, and her beautiful bridesmaids in a corner suite with fantastic lighting at downtown Evansville's Doubletree.
The dessert bar included a pegboard made by the bride's dad to showcase donuts from Donut Bank. The antique buffet, which once belonged to the bride's mom featured an assortment of mini cupcakes from The Pacetre. The Pacetre also provided a gorgeous mini cake for the two to share during the traditional cutting of the cake.
After their first dance as husband and wife ("Norther Wind" by City & Colour), Hadley danced with her dad to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle and Daniel with his mom, Pam, to "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. Then the two welcomed friends and family to the floor to dance the Hora, in which they were lifted on chairs to celebrate Daniel's Jewish heritage and welcoming Hadley into their family. The party had begun! Bobby from Nexus Mobile DJ kept the tunes spinning and people on the dance floor all night long until it was time for the couple's sparkler getaway. The couple exited under an archway made by their guests holding lit sparklers and ended an absolutely spectacular night with a grand finish.

Hadley Thompson is originally from Evansville, Indiana, and met Daniel Veselak when she was a travel nurse assigned to a position in Los Angeles, California. They met through the bride's brother, Craig Thompson, who was friends with members of Daniel's family. They were destined to meet.
Hadley and Daniel truly adore each other and are so comfortable with each other. You can see in the way they look at and speak to one another the respect and mutual admiration they share. Everyone in attendance was so excited to witness and celebrate their union and all the special details of the day.
After her mom helped her into her dress, I escorted Hadley a few blocks away to meet Daniel for their first look. Morgan Williams Photography and Full Frame Cinema were there to capture the special moment of the two getting to see each other for the first time that day. They hugged, snuggled, and posed for pictures along their walk around downtown Evansville.
After their first look, Hadley & Daniel hopped on their SUV Limousine Party Bus with their bridal party to relax and enjoy the 40-minute ride from downtown Evansville to the ceremony and reception site in Rockport, IN. The Corner House Bed & Breakfast and Event Barns were ready and waiting for their arrival.
Guests at the wedding were escorted in a golf cart up the hill to the ceremony site. They were greeted by two of Daniel's cousins who handed out their custom program fans and were encouraged to refresh themselves with glasses of lemonade, sweet tea, and water. The anticipation was palpable as the bridal party lined up to walk together to the ceremony.
Hadley walked with her dad, Bruce, down the aisle to Daniel to the tune of "The Girl" by City & Colour (played by pianist Barry Schaar). The two stood in front of Lori Weinstock, their officiant and Daniel's cousin, to repeat their vows. They had a blessing of the rings, in which the rings were passed around to all the guests and the bridal party for everyone to touch
The two shared a kiss, broke glass, and were pronounced husband and wife. They joined their guests for a portion of the cocktail hour, which included two bars service by Hornet's Nest Catering and appetizers from Mission BBQ, before they were whisked away for sweetheart pictures. Then they joined up with their wedding party right before their entrance for a shot (tequila for the bride and Fireball for everyone else) and a shot (a picture by their photographer).
The two shared a sweetheart table on the edge of the dance floor in lieu of a head table with their bridal party. Their best men and matrons of honor shared a mixture of sweet and hilarious memories during their toasts, and both Hadley's father, Bruce, and Daniel's father, Mike, welcomed their guests and gave thanks to everyone involved in making the day super special.
Hadley & Daniel, thank you for trusting me to walk through this process with you to help you plan and coordinate your big day. We connected from our first meeting in LA in October to vendor meetings in January to margaritas for Cinco de Mayo to the culmination of all our hard work and energy for your wedding. Your friends and family could not have been more gracious to me, my assistant, and our other amazing vendors who helped make your day everything it was. It was a team effort, and I am blessed and honored that you chose me to be your team captain. Not only will I continue to hold you in my heart as one of my bridal couples, you two have truly become friends. I can't wait to plan my next trip to LA!!
The time you have spent planning this wedding, dealing with stresses and difficulties, working through the humor and the pain, the ups and the downs, has given you a great foundation upon which to stand as you build the rest of your life together.
