A Local Love Story: Kayla & Mitch

Evansville Wedding Planner

Who knew that opening a new checking account could lead to love at first sight?

It's true!

Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union contributed to the successful union of a wedding planner and her bride. Kayla helped me open a checking account, and we immediately hit it off. She was in the midst of planning her dream wedding, and the stress of it all was taking a toll on her already busy life. I offered my services, and the rest is history. She has been a total dream bride, and I'm so blessed to work with her and Mitch.

I asked Kayla to write a few words about how she met Mitch and their engagement story. Their beautiful engagement images are courtesy of Jill Osterhage of Osterhage Photography. (Jill also happens to be Mitch's mother... how fun?!)

Kayla: "Let's rewind a little over 5 years ago. Mitch and I were hanging out at a mutual friend's house. Who knew that one car ride together would be the start to the rest of our lives? We exchanged numbers, and the rest was history. We 'officially' started dating on May 3, 2011. In the next four years, we traveled across the US, bought a house, switched jobs, and took in our fur baby."

"But the biggest life changer happened on September 25, 2015 in Gatlinburg, TN. Mitch and I hiked (in the pouring rain) to Rainbow Falls, a gorgeous waterfall, where Mitch then got on one knee and proposed! It was the most romantic and personal moment we could ever share. Everything was absolutely perfect, including the unbelievable ring he picked out!! We have been planning our dream wedding ever since, and now it's just days away. We are so blessed to have found each other and can't wait to see what the future holds." Kayla and Mitch, I'm so happy for you both! I can't wait to blog about your lovely nuptials soon!

If you're engaged and as stressed out as Kayla was, I'm here for you! I'd love to help you through this special time so you can actually enjoy your engagement and your big day.
